The Everton Fire Department has begun testing the Tone-to-Text application to determine if it will benefit their department. The use of the Tone-to-Text system became critical to this department’s communication needs when their dispatch center recently lost its paging capabilities.
Interim Dispatch Solution
The dispatch center for the Everton Fire Department has recently encountered a hardware failure that has disabled their paging abilities. It is estimated that the paging system will be down for up to four weeks before the hardware can be replaced and brought back online. As an interim solution, the Everton Fire Department is utilizing the Tone-to-Text application as their primary means for dispatch.
